Teresita Ssen Marquez entered the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and was blessed to take home the crown as the reigning queen.
Reina Hispanoamericana was held last December 2017 and most of the beauty queens who joined are Latina beauties. Teresita is the first Filipina to join the beauty pageant and won the crown.
Last week, she shared her photo with her fellow beauty queens including Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann, Miss Multinational Philippines 2017 Sophia Senoron, and Miss Eco Philippines 2017 Cynthia Thomalla.
She captioned it expressing that she is proud of her fellow Filipina beauty queens and their achievements. Although the photo is a form of inspiration, one netizen took it the other way and compared her crown to Eat Bulaga’s “Suffer Sireyna” a gay pageant.
Teresita, in reply to her basher, dared her to join the pageant and see if she can win.
Latinas are known to be very competitive in international beauty pageants. To compete against them and win the crown is a remarkable and difficult feat.
