- The young singer-actress admitted that she feels empty
- Sarah has been reconsidering her career since 2013
Sarah Geronimo is this generation’s greatest pop artists. Her energetic and lively appearance on stage and on screen is just another ordinary girl with real-life problems.
The young singer-actress went to perform on a US tour starting April 21 with four stops including Las Vegas. This is following the successful April 14 anniversary concert.
The highlight of this tour was the Las Vegas stop where the fans witnessed a rare and unexpected moment.
Sarah became emotional in her Last Vegas concert while singing her anthem “Forever’s Not Enough.”
Before the heartbreaking event, Sarah recalled the moment of her idol, Michael Jackson, when he was surrounded by die-hard fans who praised him like a true king. Sara admitted that she was not ready for such fame upon seeing herself in successful shows. She said, “Grabe po. I realized, na hindi po pala ako handa doon.”
“I have been asking myself, ‘Bakit I feel empty?'” she said. “Hindi ‘yung successful na shows o ‘yung mga hits ang makakapag-kumpleto sa ‘yo, ang makakapagpasaya sa ‘yo bilang isang tao, kundi ‘yung tunay na pagmamahal na hindi nagbabago, perpekto ka man o hindi.”
Sarah has been reconsidering her 15-year career since 2013 when she mentioned she’s undergoing a quarter-life crisis. She’s having second thoughts on whether to continue as a performer.
She can’t help herself but cry while singing ‘Forever’s Not Enough.” She skipped a few lines and eventually breaks down and walked out from the stage.
The audience felt Sarah’s emotions and were also saddened. Sarah returned to the stage after taking a moment and apologized to the audience, “I’m so sorry. I hope na kayanin ko po, i-survive ko ‘tong gabing ito, because you paid. Gumastos po kayo para mabigyan kayo ng entertainment. I’m sorry.”
A lot of people, both fans and co-performers alike, will be dismayed to see Sarah let go of her performing career. She admitted that she’s trying to figure out what will really make her feel accomplished. Moreover, she mentioned that someone advised her, “Sarah, huwag ka na maghanap, kasi iyan ‘yung binigay na talento ng Diyos para sa ‘yo, so use that as a platform to honor His name, to glorify His name, and to become an inspiration to other people.”
For now, Sarah Geronimo is holding on to that advise. Meanwhile, she has an ongoing project expected to air soon titled “Miss Granny.”
