- “My Fairy Tail Love Story” and “Ekstra” debut on TV via KBO
- These movies will air alongside “Just the Way You Are,” “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” and “Bakit Hindi ka Crush ng Crush Mo.”
Laugh and cry this weekend as KBO brings the TV premiere of the mermaid-fantasy teen rom-com, “My Fairy Tail Love Story, and Vilma Santos’ indie starrer “Ekstra.”
Janella Salvador plays spoiled rich kid “Chantel,” who is cursed to be a mermaid after destroying corals while on vacation. Her bestfriend Noel, played by Elmo Magalona, tries to help her get rid of the curse by getting her true love’s kiss from celebrity DJ Ethan, Kiko Estrada. What she doesn’t know is maybe her true love is already in front of her.
Also screening this weekend is Vilma Santos’ first foray into indie films. She plays Loida Malabanan in “Ekstra,” a bit player in movies. It shows the daily grind that movie and TV series extras go through to earn a living.
