PCOO Asec Mocha Uson may run for the senator in 2019. Another one person who may run against Mocha will be the actress and an open critic to President Rodrigo Duterte, Agot Isidro.
In a recent interview with ANC, Senator Francis Pangilinan, president of The Liberal Party (LP) shared that she was hesitant. He continued that the Philippines need more women to step up.
In the said interview, Senator Francis also admitted that they are still convincing her.
“Of course, she was hesitant. But then we said, precisely, that we need more women to step up and so she said, ‘Okay, you can consider it but let me think about it also. We’re still convincing her.”
Agot also once called President Rodrigo a “psychopath” for his tirades against the United States and the European Union. The Liberal Party also offered a spot to Mar Roxas.
However, according to Senator Francis, he said no but there are people convincing him.
“He says no, although there are people that are still trying to convince him.”
