- Matt Evans displays a promising career in GMA Network
- The actor admits he does not dream of lead roles anymore
- He has a yet undisclosed upcoming project in the Kapuso network after playing a character role in “Sherlock Jr.”
Matt Evans, in his transfer to GMA Network, made it clear that he no longer dreams of having a lead role. He told the Kapuso management that he prefers character roles.
Matt Evans once played the lead role in ABS-CBN’s “Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko” that lasted almost a year. Before he transferred to GMA Network, he starred in many Kapamilya teleseryes and his last was portraying a gay character in “The Greatest Love” topbilled by Sylvia Sanchez.
“Nu’ng pagpasok ko po dito, tinanong po talaga ako kung ano ang gusto ko raw mangyari sa career ko, ‘yung ganu’n. Inamin ko na po ‘yung gusto ko talaga,” he said.
“Hindi ko na po hinangad magbida siyempre, una sa lahat, mas marami po talagang mga bata ngayon na aminado ako na mas magagaling pa sa amin.”
He admits that a lead role is no longer suitable for him. “Tatay na naman ako, so tatay roles na lang, di ba?” he said.
GMA Network immediately gave the actor a project during his transfer and became part of the TV series “Sherlock, Jr.” The series ended just recently. GMA Network seems happy with Matt’s performance that they offered him another project. However, details of this upcoming project are not yet disclosed.
Matt Evans is surely more than happy being a Kapuso.
