Maricel Soriano’s latest film “My 2 Mommies” hits box-office and marks a promising showbiz comeback of the only Diamond Star.
The actress hopes that the success of “My 2 Mommies” is just the start of a smooth career. “Ang aim ko ngayon makapagpasaya ng mga magulang at saka ng mga tao,” she said in a thanksgiving party held on May 15.
“Sana naman tuloy-tuloy,” she added with regards to her comeback. Maricel expressed that she is now more focused on making the audience happy or touch their emotions.
Maricel will also play a part of the new ABS-CBN primetime series “The General’s Daughter” starring Angel Locsin. The said upcoming series is expected to replace the long-running and top-rating series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
This is the first time Maricel Soriano and Angel Locsin will be working together. And Maricel can’t help but say her first impression with Angel. “Napakaganda ho ni Angel dito. Panoorin niyo po siya. Mahusay yung bata,” she said.
The veteran actress’ last series was in GMA-7 in 2014 with Dingdong Dantes and Lovi Poe. Now, she has a chance to work with Janice de Belen, Eula Valdes, and Ryza Cenon as confirmed casts of “The General’s Daughter.” They are currently waiting for taping schedules.
Moreover, other than this teleserye with Angel Locsin, Maricel also announced that she is scheduled to do two movies soon.
