Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil will receive awards as the Box Office King and Queen for their movie, My Ex and Whys, in the Guillermo Box Office Awards which will be May 20, Sunday at the Resorts World Manila.
Liza and Enrique beat Kita Kita‘s Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez.
However, the AlEmpoy tandem will still be titled as the Breakthrough Love Team Award. On the other hand, Liza as a box office queen will make her the youngest one since the 2000’s.
Judy Ann Santos won the award for the movie, Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko in 2000 when she was just 22. Claudine Barretto won the award for the movie, Kailangan Kita in 2003 when she was just 23. Kristine Hermosa also won the award for the movie, Enteng Kabisote 2: Okay Ka Fairy Ko: The Legend Continues in 2006 when she was just 22.
Claudine also became the co-winner for the movie, Sukob in 2007 when she was just 23. Bea Alonzo also won the award for the movie, One More Chance in 2008 when she was just 20. Sarah Geronimo too won the award for the movie, A Very Special Love in 2009 when she was just 20. She also won the award for the movie, You Changed My Life in 2010 when she was just 21.
Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes became the co-winners of the award for the movie, No Other Woman in 2012 when they were just 27 and 23 respectively. Bea also won the award again for the movie, The Mistress in 2013 when she was just 25. Sarah also won the award again for the movie, It Takes A Man and A Women in 2014 when she was just 25. Kathryn Bernardo won the award for the movie, Barcelona: A Love Untold in 2017 when she was just 21.
At the age of 20 years and 4 months, Liza is decided to win the Box Office Queen making her the youngest in 2000’s.
