In a media conference, Julie expressed her appreciation for Regine’s support.
“Nakakataba ng puso kasi ‘yung idol mo nag-gi-give back and sinusuportahan ka din every time na magpo-post siya sa Instagram about me.”
Julie also stated that she wanted to follow Regine’s footsteps. According to her, she had been three years old when she started singing along to the Songbird’s songs.
“Actually ‘yung kanta nga po niya, kinakanta ko pa sa tape that time. Nire-record ko pa sa casette tapos pinapadala ko pa kay Papa sa Taiwan kasi dun po siya nagtatrabaho dati. Mga two and a half or three years old po ako nun. Nire-record po namin ni Mama.”
Julie dreamed to be like Regine someday. She felt like it would be such a beautiful moment when people would sing their own songs.
“I’ve always dreamed to be like her someday na may mga hits, mga sarling kanta, basta marami po siyang magagandang songs. ‘Yun naman po talaga important for me. Ang sarap sa feeling na masasabayan ng mga tao ‘yung mga sariling mong kanta. Every time na may kakanta… I feel appreciated.”
