PTV-4 broadcaster Jules Guiang has answered back colleague Erwin Tulfo’s tirade.
On his Facebook page, Guiang shared a medianewser article about Tulfo blasting Guiang. He then captioned the post with Rule XI of the Philippine Journalist’s Code of Ethics.
According to the post, journalists should conduct themselves with dignity while in public or while performing their profession. And when in doubt, a journalist should be guided by the word “Decency”.
“Rule XI of the Philippine Journalist’s Code of Ethics: I shall conduct myself in public or while performing my duties as a journalist in such manner as to maintain the dignity of my profession. When in doubt, decency should be my watchword. Have a great weekend everyone,” he wrote.
Guiang’s post came after his PTV-4 colleague Erwin Tulfo slammed him during the extro of Tulfo’s news program.
Tulfo blasted Guiang and compared him to snake or chameleon who switches colors from yellow to red.
“Hoy, mag-ingat ka pala ha. Bukas ng umaga, may nakita mga cameraman natin na ahas kaninang umaga. Baka matuklaw ka. Susmaryosep! Direk, pakihanap nga yung ahas bukas ng umaga baka matuklaw si Diane ah.”
“So mag-ingat, mag-ingat kayo dito, pati mga cameraman. Parang ang scientific name nun ay, eh, Julesus Guyanus. Parang ganun lang,” he added
Tulfo’s tirade was brought about by Guiang’s earlier post about Ben Tulfo’s tirade against Mike Enriquez.
