Charlie Dizon gained interest from many netizens in her role as Marikit in ABS-CBN’s epicserye Bagani. As the story runs, it also insinuates that Marikit will become a Bagani. She may also be a possible love interest for Enrique Gil’s Lakas. Bagani also became Charlie’s first project.
In a digital conference in April, Charlie couldn’t believe her luck on landing the said project. She considers it as a huge blessing. She also admitted that she had been trying to become an actress in the industry.
“Hanggang ngayon, hindi po pa rin ako makapaniwala na kasali ako sa Bagani. Tine-take ko ‘to as malaking blessing. And ang tagal ko ding pinagdasal ‘to so finally nakapag-start na ‘ko sa teleserye at sa ‘Bagani’ pa… Matagal na din po akong nagta-try mag-artista and ngayong nabigyan na po ako ng chance talaga, wala po akong ibang iniisip kundi pagbutihin po ang lahat.”
In an interview, Charlie also revealed that her character will serve as the third party of the love team, LizQuen which consists of Enrique and Liza Soberano. She may also receive hate comments from die-hard LizQuen fans.
“Actually, sobrang kinakabahan po talaga ako sa bashing na ‘yan, pero ako po kasi nakikita ko kung paano magwork yung LizQuen. Sobrang fan po nila ako so, parang… sana maintindihandin ng fans na work lang talaga.”
