- An ABS-CBN staff said to have heard Angeline Quinto and Morissette calling Sarah Geronimo “pabebe” during the Las Vegas breakdown
- Both artists received hate online and even grave threats
- Angeline denied the allegation and filed the appropriate case for those who threatened her and her mother
Days after the Sarah Geronimo Las Vegas concert breakdown, an allegation spread that co-singers Angeline Quinto and Morissette called Sarah “pabebe” while watching her video.
The rumor was said to have been spread by an ABS-CBN staff who witnessed and heard the scene. It immediately spread to Sarah Geronimo’s fans and were enraged to the two singers and attacked them on social media.
Angeline Quinto was surprised when she received hate from many “Popsters” and defended herself and Morissette. Morissette, on the other hand, remained quiet.
“Popsters,napaka laki ng respeto ko kay Sarah Geronimo,napakalaki ng respeto ko sa mga supporters niya, nakikiusap ako, ilabas niyo ang video,iharap niyo sa akin ang taong sinasabi niyo na staff ng abs-cbn nakikiusap ako sainyo Popsters. Ngayon lang ako makikiusap sainyo.”
Angeline denied that she called Sarah “pabebe” and dared the netizen to show proof that she did it, as well as introduce to them the said ABS-CBN staff source. Angeline is obviously full of it as we can see in her Twitter account.
“POPSTERS, Please nakikiusap ako ngayon sainyo, ilabas niyo ang video at ipakita niyo o ipakilala man lang yung staff ng abs-cbn na nakarinig ng pag uusap namin ni Morisette. Pati si Morisette na walang kinalaman dito kung ano ano ang sinabi niyo. Wag naman ganun. Hindi tama yan.”
She said that the what the netizens are saying couldn’t have happened because she didn’t know about Sarah’s breakdown until Monday morning. She was busy with ASAP on Sunday, so there’s no way an ABS-CBN staff is with her.
“Unang una sa lahat popsters hindi ko pa alam ang issue na yan about Sarah Geronimo, nung nag Asap ako nung linggo, nalaman ko ang issue kay Sarah galing sa best friend ko, April 30 (Monday) so paano narinig ng staff ng abs-cbn? E nalaman ko nga lunes pa.”
She also pronounced that she respects the co-singer. And what they’re doing as fans will only bring shame to Sarah herself.
“Nasaan ang video at ang staff ng abs-cbn na nakarinig at naka kita sa amin ni Morisette na pinag tatawanan ang video ni Sarah Geronimo at sinabihan naming Pabebe si Sarah? POPSTERS NAKIKIUSAP AKO. IPAKITA NIYO SA AMIN NI MORISETTE.”
“Ngayon ko lang nabasa lahat ng messages ng Popsters. Ang taas ng tingin ko sainyo at laki ng respeto ko sainyong lahat. Dahil kay Sarah Geronimo, kahit anong masasamang sabihin niyo sa akin at kay Morisette, reresputuhin ko parin kayo dahil nirerespeto ko si Sarah.”
“Sabihin niyo lahat POPSTERS, HINDI AKO NAKAPAG SOLO CONCERT NA SOLD OUT, TOMBOY AKO,HINDI AKO SIKAT, Tatanggapin ko lahat yan, Dahil nirerespeto ko kayo, Tatanggapin ko lahat yan dahil nirerespeto ko ang iniidolo niyo. Sa ginagawa ko ngayon mas nahihiya ako kay Sarah.”
Some of the netizens apologized upon knowing the truth. But, those who sent threats to Angeline, her mother, and Morissette will not escape the hand of justice.

Recent reports said that Angeline Quinto already filed the appropriate case against the bashers. She also mentioned that she received a message from Sarah apologizing for the rumor.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe, Angeline shared that she received a message from Sarah who apologized for what happened.
“Ayoko na pong sabihin ‘to, pero sobra akong lalo humanga kay Sarah, kasi nakatanggap po ako ng message sa kanya, at humihingi po siya ng sorry sa akin.”
She stressed that both of them are in good terms. “Maayos kasi kami ni SG, e. Wala akong kahit anong… Wala akong kuwestiyon sa ugali ni Sarah, simula noon. Bata pa lang kami, magkakilala na kami. Nasasaktan din po ako na nangyayari ito sa amin, na ang daming taong nadadamay,” she stated.
Angeline also pointed out that how the Popsters behaved recently is the total opposite of their idol’s character. “Para sa akin, kung ikaw ay isang tao na iniidolo mo ang isang Sarah Geronimo, sana hindi kita nakikitaan ng ganon, kasi hindi ganon si Sarah. Napakalayo ng ugali ni Sarah sa mga nakikita ko na ginagawa ng ibang tao, na humahanga sa kanya,” she said.
