Instead of throwing a birthday party, Angel Locsin held a charity event on her special day. She also gave out make-up, food, vitamins and medicine to the elderly residents of the Anawim Home for the Aged.
She expressed her gratitude to the people who made the event possible.
In a series of Instagram photos, Angel expressed her pride in having the charity event with the elderly for her birthday. Angel knew how much it would mean for her to hold a charity event instead of throwing a party.
“Forgive me posting this. I’m just bursting with pride for my dear Angels for organizing a charity event with the elderly of Anawim for my birthday. Alam nila na mas magugustuhan ko ito kesa sa mag-party. Salamat. They opt to donate their funds para kina lolo at lola 🙂 confident daw kasi sila na mapapalitan, hehe :)”
Angel thanked her partner endorsements. She expressed her gratitude for her Angels. She also asked her Angels to come back to the home for the aged with her.

Anawim remains a small facility for the poor and abandoned elderly. Catholic lay preacher Bo Sanchez also founded the said facility in Rizal Province, Philippines.
The facility also opened its doors in 1996 and provided a home and a sanctuary to the poor and elderly who have nowhere else to go.
