- Aiai delas Alas called out local candidates who used Ex Battalion’s copyrighted hit song for campaigning.
- Concerned citizens advised Aiai and the group on the said matter.
- They released a statement regarding said issue.
Aiai delas Alas and Ex Battalion recently reminded local candidates for barangay elections on using the group’s hit songs for campaigning. Many fans had also told the Comedy Queen and Ex Battalion about the said issue.
Some may not be aware of the copyright law. Although some are aware, they still use Ex Battalion’s song without any permission from its singers.
Aiai and the group recently appealed to the authorities. They also released a statement referring to concerned citizens who advised them of the matter.
“Wwere advised by concerned citizens that there are local candidates who are using Ex Battalion’s copyrighted song Hayaan Mo Sila without authority from the group. We request, in the spirit of integrity and fair play, the concerned individuals to cease and desist from such unauthorized use of the song and its melody. Please be advised that the group reserves its right to avail of the remedies under relevant laws afforded it.”
If local candidates wanted to use the song, all they need to do is to reach out Aiai’s representative and call 0917-7500291. The barangay elections will be held on May 14, 2018, Monday.
