John Estrada recently signed under GMA Network on May 2, Wednesday. GMA SVP Lilybeth Rasonable, VP for Drama Redgie Magno, AVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy and Program Manager Nini Matilac were also present in the said contract signing.
In the said contract signing, John shared that he felt so welcome in the network.
“I feel so welcomed. Maganda ang pag-welcome sa akin so I’m excited.”
The 44-year-old actor also revealed the real reason behind the network transfer from ABS-CBN Corporation to GMA Network. He felt like he fits in the role GMA Network had offered.
“It’s a fact naman na men love challenges. As you mature, siyempre madami kang gustong patunayan sa sarili mo. At sa GMA, medyo maganda talaga [and] interesting ‘yung content. At of course, bagay sa’kin ‘yung versatility na ino-offer nila.”
John also admitted that he will be working with Kapuso royal couple, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. He remains a good friend of the couple.
“I’m a good friend of Dingdong and Marian. It’s dream for me to work [with them] and marami pang Kapuso talents na napapanood ko, maraming magagaling na artista dito.”
John also looked forward to working with his own daughter, Inah Estrada.
“Looking forward na makatrabaho si Inah. May mga talks naman ako with the management, but itong first project, dito talaga ko sobrang excited. Napakaganda. If I’m not mistaken, this is the biggest project of GMA this year. Pagpasensyahan niyo na ko, ‘yung revelation nito dapat perfect timing kasi malaking-malaking proyekto. I just wanna say na it’s worth the wait.”
