- AGB Nielsen NUTAM is GMA Network’s TV rating provider
- ABS-CBN is subscribed with Kantar Media
- Based on the ratings released, both from AGB Nielsen NUTAM and Kantar Media, “The Cure” failed big time in giving “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” a better rival
- “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” vs. “The Cure” could be the best example for the TV mismatch on this decade
“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is still unmatched despite having a new rival “The Cure” based on the ratings released by Kantar Media on April 30. The series opened the week strongly as it garnered a national TV rating of 41.2%, compared to “The Cure” the only got 17.9%, according to data from Kantar Media.
A week after the pilot episode of “The Cure”, AGB Nielsen NUTAM ratings is still nowhere to be found.
Thank God for newest Kapuso artist Pauline Mendoza who shared the latest AGB Nielsen NUTAM ratings for May 3. At least we have an idea on how low “The Cure” is getting according to GMA Network’s TV ratings provider.
Based on the AGB Nielsen NUTAM data shared by Pauline, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” kept its winning streak last Thursday (May 3) with 15.7%, while its newest rival show “The Cure” only got 9.3%. “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” has an advantage of 6.4%; this could be the widest gap in years based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM.
On that same day, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” scored 40.9% last Thursday (May 3), while “The Cure” only got 15.4% in Kantar Media.
Leading Kapamilya primetime series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is still unrivaled in national TV ratings after it beat its new rival show based on the two leading ratings providers – Kantar Media and AGB Nielsen NUTAM, keeping its spot as the most watched program in the country.
This could be the reason why “The Cure” is being rumored to get the ax sooner than expected. Compared with GMA Network’s first eight programs pitted against “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,”
“The Cure” got the lowest rating considering it’s the first show on GMA telebabad lineup. “The Cure’s” low viewership is obviously affecting badly it’s pre and post programming.
