- Vice Ganda expressed intention of mentoring Joven Olvido.

After Pilipinas Got Talent finalist Joven Olvido’s performance the three judges were impressed especially Vice Ganda who said that she intends to mentor the latter. For the It’s Showtime host, he considers the Laguna comedian as his future predecessor or replacement in case he decides to retire, someday.
Vice had been open about his health. He also recently shared that he has health complications that may result to his retirement. He, then, continued that in case he had to leave, Joven would be there to make the people happy.
During the semi-finals of Pilipinas Got Talent, Joven parodied every contestant’s act. When it was time for the judges to say their feedback, particularly Vice, the comedian was very vocal how the rest of the three judges fought for Joven to advance to the semis.
“Alam mo nakakatuwa na nakita kita, natagpuan ka namin dito. Kasi alam mo ngayong mga panahon ito na meron akong karamdaman, nalulungkot ako. Kasi sabi ko, nagdadasal ako lagi na kailangang gumaling na ko kasi di pa pwede kasi parang wala pa akong nakikita. Ngayong nakita kita, I want to mentor you.”
Vice, then, commended Joven on his quick wit. He also added that some comedians don’t have what Joven has.
“Kasi ang bilis ng utak mo, eh. Hindi ka ‘yung comedyng pa-panget. Kasi diba, may ganon? May komedyanteng pa-panget, ikaw ‘yung tatas ng bunganga mo. Nakikita ko kasi ‘yung sarili ko sa’yo, eh. ‘Yung bunganga mo ang nakakatawa. Bukod sa mga ginagawa mo pang kilos.
“I want to mentor para sa saka-sakali man na kailangan ko nang magpahinga, meron pang magpapatawa.
“Diba? Kailangan ng mundo ng marami pang magpapatawa. And that is the very reason kung bakit namin pinayagang makapasok ito sa semi-finals. ‘Yung mga tao na masyadong ewan kong dunung-dunungan na bakit daw pumasok ka, ang daming mas magagaling. Mga sira ulo ba kayo? Ang pagpapatawa ay isang mahirap na art at trabaho at isang mahusay na talento.”
Vice also tried to defend the decision of the judges regarding those who bashed them.
“Ang pagpapatawa ay isang mahirap na art at trabaho at isang mahusay na talento.
“Masyado lang limitado ang mga utak niyo. At kung hindi niyo siya trip, ‘di naman namin kayo pinipilit. Eh, trip namin siya. Kami ‘yung hurado, kami ‘yung magdedecide. Diba? ‘Wag kayong padunong. Hindi namin kayo inoobliga na magustuhan niyo siya. Kung sino gusto niyo, gustuhin niyo. Pero gusto din namin siya, mahal namin si Joven.”
Vice promised to buy Joven a tricycle because the latter made him happy. From that point on, the male semi-finalist cried.
“Joven, diba may tricycle ka? Kanino yon? Sa pinsan mo? Hay naku, pinasaya mo ako. Ibibili kita ng sarili mong tricycle. Thank you for making all of us happy tonight. That’s so noble.”
