“Failon Ngayon” will once again tackle the plight of the residents of National Housing Authority (NHA)’s controversial housing projects in the program’s much talked about special documentary, “Kalamidad sa Pabahay” that trended on social media and re-airs this Sunday (April 22) on ABS-CBN’s “Sunday’s Best.”
Due to insistent public demand, viewers will get another look at the major complaints of the residents, who are mostly natural and man-made calamity victims and refugees, such as lack of water and electricity and substandard materials that were used in the construction of the units. Instead of feeling safe and secure, the residents are also more worried, as found out by “Failon Ngayon,” because some of the housing units are located in danger zones.
Anchored by Ted Failon, the special documentary will also feature NHA’s response to the different issues that continue to slam its office, particularly problems concerning its projects that cost billions of pesos and have been put on hold for several years.
The episode first aired last April 7 and received positive comments from viewers for its detailed feature on NHA’s current relocation sites, as well as the difficulties faced by the residents, which touched the hearts of viewers.
