Everyone’s already excited for ABS-CBN’s upcoming romance drama “Araw Gabi”. The series is to be top-billed by JM De Guzman and Barbie Imperial, together with an ensemble cast.
The series’ official teaser has just been released and we can’t wait to see the series itself.

10. The series is an adaptation of a Martha Cecilia novel.
The serial is based on the Filipino romance pocket book novel El Paraiso by writer Maribeth dela Cruz née Hamoy, also known in her pseudonym Martha Cecilia, author of best selling novel series Kristine and Sweetheart under PHR.
9. “Precious Hearts Romances Presents” gets a reboot.
“Precious Hearts Romances Presents” was one of ABS-CBN’s most-watched series which focuses on adaptations of some of the best-selling pocketbook novels from the publisher Precious Hearts Romances from May 4, 2009 to April 5, 2013. This year, the series gets a reboot under the RSB (Ruel S. Bayani) unit, with “Araw Gabi” being their first adaptation.
8. Rita Avila’s return to ABS-CBN.
Rita Avila’s last project with ABS-CBN was the Primetime teleserye Magpahanggang Wakas and the Ipaglaban Mo episode entitled Saklolo. She later became part of GMA’s Super Ma’am. She will be part of the cast of “Araw Gabi”, playing the character of Odessa Olvidar.
7. Vina Morales returns to Kapamilya Gold.
Vina Morales’ last show in the afternoon block was the 2015 teleserye “Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita”, together with Denise Laurel and Jane Oineza. This was followed by the musical romance drama series “Born For You” (2016) which was part of the Primetime Bida slot. “Araw Gabi” will mark her return to the afternoon block as she play the role of Celestina de Alegre.

Jane Oineza has played some very dark roles in the past, from the psychopathic character Shermaine, who was urged to kill the main character’s sister in the horror-action series “Juan dela Cruz” (2013) to the good girl turned cold-blooded killer Olivia Mendez in Star Cinema’s murder mystery “Bloody Crayons” (2017). But this 2018, we get to see Jane in her biggest kotrabida role to date in PHR’s “Araw Gabi”. For the role, Jane had even gone through a major make-over in preparation for her character.
5. A Bagatsing Brothers Reunion, sort of.
Real life brothers RK and Raymond Bagatsing will have a sort-of reunion in “Araw Gabi” as both of them are part of the show’s cast. RK, fresh from the success of “Wildflower” where he previously played Arnaldo Ardiente-Torillo, will be part of the main cast as David. His brother Raymond who was part of “Pusong Ligaw” on the other hand will be playing the role of Virgilio de Alegre in this show.
4. A Powerhouse Cast.
Aside from JM de Guzman, Barbie Imperial, RK Bagatsing, Vina Morales, Rita Avila, Raymond Bagatsing and Jane Oineza, the series will also feature a powerful cast, led by Ara Mina, Victor Silayan, Ysabel Ortega, Paulo Angeles, Phoebe Walker, Dennis Padilla, Candy Pangilinan and Arlene Muhlach.
3. Barbie Imperial’s biggest television break.
Ex-PBB housemate and Girl trend Barbie Imperial will be having her biggest break to date as she will be playing Michelle Verano in Precious Hearts Romances Presents “Araw Gabi”. Her character, Michelle is a girl with a deeply depressing connection with the lighthouse in Adrian’s (JM De Guzman) hometown.
2. JM De Guzman’s big television comeback.
This is the comeback that everyone’s been waiting for. After his 2 year hiatus from television, JM De Guzman returns with a bang in this new drama offering from ABS-CBN. Here, he will be playing Adrian Olvidar, a self-loathing man who is haunted by a mistake he made when he was young.

JM De Guzman and Barbie Imperial will be playing Michelle and Adrian, two different people whose paths tangle the most amusing of ways. Upon the announcement of the project, netizens have already expressed their surprise with the unusual pairing. We can already see the chemistry between the two stars, with JM saying nothing but praises to his leading lady.
“Araw Gabi” will premiere on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold afternoon block and worldwide through The Filipino Channel this April 30, 2018, replacing “Hanggang Saan”.
