Malacañang Communications Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson is again at the center of social media buzz. This after her Wikipedia page has been altered to include fake news she had shared in the past.
An anonymous editor took to Uson’s Wikipedia page to include a list of fakes news that the Asec posted and shared on her social media accounts.
In the edited entry, Mocha was described as “Queen of fake news” for constantly spreading fake news and false information on social media.
The list includes Mocha’s infamous post about Marawi soldiers which turned out to be Honduran forces which she later claimed as “symbolism”.
“Uson’s Facebook post on that called for prayers for Filipino soldiers, but which netizens pointed out accompanied a photo of praying Honduran forces.[53] In her defense, Uson contended that she never claimed that the photo was that of members of the Philippine Army and that the photo was just a “symbolism”
Part also of the entry is another false claim about a young girl being a victim of a drugged rapist in defense of the government’s war against drugs and as a pot shot to the Commission on Human Rights.
“Sharing the photo of a dead girl who was supposedly raped and murdered by Filipino drug addicts and asking why there was no outrage from the Commission on Human Rights. It turned out that the incident was from Brazil in 2014. Uson later took down her post”
Other entry includes her comment on the Mighty Corp’s tax evasion case where she proudly refers to article 263 of the Philippine constitution, the displacement of Mount Mayon from Albay to Naga and some others.
