News started to circulate that Facebook set Rappler and Vera Files as information police or third-party fact checkers of the Philippines. According to Facebook, Rappler and Vera Files have been certified through a non-partisan international fact-checking network.
The said fact-checkers will review the story, check the facts and rate its accuracy.
In a recent Facebook post, Jimmy Bondoc threatened to create a nationwide petition to delete Facebook. He also asked people to kindly suggest another social media platform which they can migrate to.
