- Ryza Cenon transfers to ABS-CBN
- The young actress formally says goodbye to GMA by talking to the bosses
- Ryza is excited to work with Piolo Pascual, Anne Curtis, and Sarah Geronimo
After her successful teleserye in GMA 7, “Ika-6 na Utos,” the young actress Ryza Cenon finally decides to take a leap of faith and venture into the next chapter of her career.
Ryza Cenon, last April 12, signed a contract with ABS-CBN to formally declare her transfer of network. She was a product of GMA’s reality talent search StarStruck 2 The Nationwide Invasion and was the Ultimate Female Survivor. She stayed in the Kapuso Network for almost 14 years.
She starred in many successful GMA shows such as Darna, Majika, Machete, Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga, and her recent hit Ika-6 na Utos.
It is probably one of Ryza’s most difficult decisions in her career. The questions that raised the netizens’ eyebrows are: “How did this happen?” and “How did she bid farewell to her home network?”
Ryza, during one of her interviews, admitted that it wasn’t her decision alone, “Pinaka nag-decide nito, yung Viva.” Viva Artists Agency will manage her career from now on. The young actress’ management said that this is one way to protect Ryza’s career and they already have plans for her future in the Kapamilya Network.
On her Instagram, she expressed her gratitude to ABS-CBN for the warm welcome.
However, Ryza just can’t easily leave the Kapuso Network without formally saying goodbye. “Before naman ako pumirma and all, nagpaalam muna ako nang maayos sa mga boss, kay Miss Lilybeth,” she said.
Lilybeth Resonable is GMA’s Senior Vice President of Entertainment Group.
She also stated that she is excited to work with veteran Kapamilya artists and learn a lot from them. When asked who she will be willing to work with, she answered Piolo Pascual, Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo.
ABS-CBN, on the other hand, is happy to welcome Ryza Cenon as the newest Kapamilya.
