- Derek Ramsay stars in Star Cinema movie, Kasal.
- He will work again with Bea Alonzo for the said movie.
- He explained the reason behind his return with Kapamilya network.
Derek Ramsay will soon have a project with Star Cinema. It has been more than two years since he had a collaboration with the said film outfit. This upcoming project, Kasal, will also be his reunion movie with Bea Alonzo. Derek and Bea had already worked together in the 2007 film One More Chance and 2010 movie Magkaribal.
Derek praised Bea as his favorite actress.
“It’s amazing to work with Bea again. She’s my one of my favorite actresses, definitely one of the most talented out there. It’s really nice to be paired with her.”
Derek shared that they caught up on those years they haven’t seen each other. He also explained his reason for returning to Kapamilya network. He, then, added that time heals everything.
“I think it was just time. Time heals everything. I had my hurt, they had their hurt. For me, it was all one big misunderstanding that was caused by the respect and the love that we have for each other kaya nagkatampuhan.”
Derek revealed that he had a meeting with ABS-CBN Corporation executives Gabby Lopez and Cory Vidanes.
“When we sat down all together, Sir Gabby, Tita Cory, we just voiced out what it was that happened. It was cleared out. We just gave the respect that we have for each other there and we moved on.”
However, he wished that it didn’t take six long years for them to have the said meeting. although, he remains happy that the meeting happened.
“Now, it feels like there’s a big thorn pulled out of my heart.”
After Kasal, Derek will have another movie. The said movie will star Maja Salvador and Arci Muñoz.
“May susunod na daw na pelikula na with Maja and Arci. I’ve worked with both of them before, si Maja briefly lang and with Arci naman, back in another network. Nagse-scheduling na kami for that other movie.”
Meanwhile, Derek shared his plans of settling down but has not gotten as far as the details, however, it is definitely a part of his plan.
“Every time you’re in a relationship, you should be looking at that ‘di ba? That’s why you stay committed to that person. This one, we definitely have that in thought. We are going strong We haven’t gotten into the particular, on what we are going to do about it but it’s definitely in our head and it’s part of our plan… We are enjoying each other’s company now.”
