  • The Nominees will be announced on May 3, 2018 at Victorino’s Restaurant in Quezon City.

The 66th FAMAS AWARDS GABI NG PARANGAL recognizing achievement in Filipino movies produced in 2017 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at The Theatre at Solaire.

Established in 1952, the FAMAS AWARDS is presented by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences and has long been considered as one of the most prestigious honors in the Philippine film industry.  All Filipino-produced films that premiered in 2017 that had at least one day commercial screening are qualified for this year’s awards.

Award categories include: Picture, Director, Actress, Actor, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Original Screenplay, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Music, Original Song, Sound and Special Effects.  For this year, there will also be awards in the Documentary and Short Film categories.  The public will also be able to participate in choosing the Audience Choice Awards for Picture, Actor and Actress.

For the first time, the FAMAS AWARDS winners will be chosen by an independent jury composed of movie practitioners, academicians and critics headed by award winning script and literary writer, Ricky Lee.

The Nominees will be announced on May 3, 2018 at Victorino’s Restaurant in Quezon City, during the PRESSCON.

MEGAVISION Integrated Resources Inc. will produce the 66th FAMAS GABI NG PARANGAL with Donna Sanchez as Executive Producer.  Email FAMAS@megavision.com.ph for inquiries.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines is the official government partner of 66th FAMAS Gabi ng Parangal. FAMAS 2018 is also supported by Victorino’s Restaurant, MAC Cosmetics, Aloysius Global, The Theatre At Solaire, Gardenia and PAGCOR.
