- Alden Richards received a Silver Medal in 2018 New York International Television & Film Awards
- Alden starts taping for his new series in Kapuso Network
- His loveteam, Main Mendoza, is again not part of the picture in the said series
Alden Richards just received a silver medal in the 2018 New York International Television & Film Awards in GMA’s documentary titled “Alaala: A Martial Law Special.”
Alden Richards career continues to shape up from several endorsements to award-winning films. Now, he returns from New York to meet the renowned acting coach, Anthony Bova, and together with the facilitator, actress-opera singer Ana Feleo, for a one-on-one workshop.
The said workshop is to prepare Alden in his upcoming series in GMA 7. It was also said that the taping for this new series already started, under Dominic Zapata, even before Alden left for New York.
The young actor shared his gratitude to his coach on Twitter: “To be one of your students is a great privilege. Thank you so much for your time, Mr. Anthony Bova.”
While things are looking up for Alden Richards career-wise, fans are asking, “Where is Maine Mendoza in all this?”
Apparently, there is no news of the other Aldub love tandem, Maine Mendoza, to be part of this new series to be starred by Alden. Although we have reason to believe that they might eventually include Maine in the later episodes to keep the Aldub sensation alive, that’s just news for the future.
For now, Alden works in an independent project, while Maine remains a host in Eat Bulaga and busy with her new advocacy “Humans of Barangay.”
Is GMA no longer supporting the Aldub love team? We’ve seen both artists undergo several projects and endorsements independently. It’s been a while we see them working together on the big screen.
