ABS-CBN has a new studio in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and it’s expected to showcase state-of-the-art soundstages backlots that is almost comparable to Universal Studios.

The new studio will be the new home of the Kapamilya live shows, series and sitcoms. And they also have a designated soundstage backlot for every series. ABS-CBN is planning to have a taping every day just like what international series does.
Everyday taping means earlier cut-offs for artists making them available for other future projects. Now, you’re wondering how Hollywood actors appear in several movies in a single year. That’s because the taping was done months before the actual movie release.
Several shows are already transferring to the Bulacan studio including ASAP. The question is, are live audiences still willing to travel that far just to see their favorite celebrities?
ABS-CBN assured that their studio is lavish, and people will definitely go there despite the distance from the central city.
More importantly, having anticipated the transfer of studio, celebrities of the said network are rumored to have already bought properties in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and the land value of the area has risen.
The thing is, you can no longer buy residential places near the ABS-CBN studio. They’re either already owned by Kapamilya artists and management, or ABS-CBN has reserved them for future developments.
As to the ABS-CBN compound in Sgt. Esguerra, Quezon City, the only department which will continue to use the old facility is the news department. And the rest of the area will be developed to recreational parks and malls.
