ABS-CBN Corporation’s two sound stages in Bulacan are ready to use in May 2018. This will hopefully cut production costs for the said multimedia corporation.
During the sidelines of the company’s briefing, ABS-CBN Chief Financial Officer Aldrin M. Cerrado told reporters when it would be available.
In the said company’s briefing, Aldrin shared how much money the corporation would save.
“Sound stages will be operational by May… We said around 20%, but these are just two sound stages for two programs. That’s 20%, but that’s just two programs out of our total programs. But at least we save money on a specific program.”
Aldrin stated that the corporation now have extra money.
“The good thing about is that we save it we now have extra money to create more content on different platforms, including digital.”
Aldrin previously reported that the sound stages for filming will soon reduce shooting time. This will effectively reduce 10-15% costs. The network also has an income of Php 3.16 billion the past year which came above the target of Php 3 billion in 2017.
