Marian and Heart are in a war right now, and no one is planning to raise the white flag just yet. It has been many years since they started fighting and the intensity goes like a roller-coaster ride.
Let’s take a quick look at what happened between the two actresses over the past few years.
June 2011
This is probably the time everything went down. Daniel Matsunaga was Heart’s boyfriend then when he expressed interest in working for a project with Marian. Apparently, Heart took this personally and expressed a revenge-like statement that she is excited to work with Dingdong Dantes.
It was also the time the two actresses were working on the same project “Temptation Island” filmed in Ilocos. Upon returning from Ilocos, Heart’s mother allegedly shouted at Marian in the airport “stay away from my daughter!”
July 2011
A month later, Heart claimed that Marian’s fans hacked her Twitter account and called her “bobita” just to fuel the chaos. The said allegation was based on Marian’s threat in Ilocos when Heart expressed that she is excited to work with Dingdong.
On the same month, Heart’s mother denied that she shouted at Marian at the airport.
January 2014
The two actresses appeared as calendar girls with Heart representing Tanduay and Marian representing Ginebra. The moment was dubbed “Battle of Sexy Calendars.”
March 2014
Heart Evangelista posted a photo on Instagram with her cover for Cosmopolitan Magazine saying “One copy left.” This may look like an ordinary endorsement, but netizens were quick to notice that she’s standing beside Marian’s February 2014 issue on the same magazine.
Netizens immediately conclude that was intentional and called Heart “papansin.”
May 2015
A year has passed and the issue was revived by Angelica Panganiban by quoting Cherrie Gil’s all-time favorite line “You’re nothing but a second-rate, trying hard, copycat!” while holding Marian and Heart’s photo.
This was released on Banana Split’s segment called “Your Dubsmash Sounds Familiar” by comparing Marian and Heart’s similar outfits.

March 2017
Marian seems to have found a new person to fight with. During one of Eat Bulaga’s segment, Marian was supposed to announce Andrea Torres along with her colleagues before they perform onstage. However, Marian intentionally did not mention Andrea Torres’s name during the introduction, forcing Jose Manalo to say it for her.
A witness also witnessed an unusual scene of Marian and Andrea near the studio dressing room. The person claimed to see Marian and Andrea about to cross path. While getting near, Andrea said “Hi” to Marian, and Marian replied “Ew!” She then hurriedly run to her locker.
April 2017
Another unnecessary feud sparked between Marian and Heart. They were both seen wearing the same “Dolce & Gabbana” shirts and fans of both sides started to argue that Marian’s shirt was fake.
Marian’s personal shopper defended the actress saying that she was personally called by D&G to endorse the brand in the Philippines and that she’s wearing a limited-edition shirt. She even showed the receipt.
April 2018
Heart Evangelista opened her art exhibit and invited several co-artists, and Andrea Torres was one of them. If this has any connection with the phrase “The enemy of my enemy is my friend,” that we do not know. What we know is that fans are again making speculations on why Andrea Torres was there.
The real question is, will this ever end? Will peace and humility rule over the two? We can never tell. But, we’re having a good time following their stories.
