- Mark Nicdao leads Power Mac Center’s “Life In Style” campaign
- Featuring a magazine cover story shot entirely on iPhone X
As the next installment of its continuing campaign #ShotoniPhone, premier Apple partner Power Mac Center teamed up with renowned photographer Mark Nicdao to feature lifestyle moments shot entirely on iPhone.
Currently on exhibit at the SM Aura Premier are photos that Nicdao shot over the years using different generations of the iPhone. Mostly taken during a trip in Europe, each photograph tells a story of its own, brilliantly captured with a resolution high enough to produce clear large prints.
Nicdao shared that while picking the time of day greatly affects outputs, his best iPhone photography tip has to do with non-planning. “Be more spontaneous. Because it’s the way it should be with phones ─ it’s handy,” he said.
With a combination of portraits, sceneries, architecture, and daily life, the photos are expertly curated to showcase the things that capture the master photographer’s fancy.
“Parang na-tiyempo lang. It’s always just spontaneous pictures. It doesn’t matter kung may meaning sa iba basta sa’yo may meaning, ‘yun na ‘yon,” he quipped.
The #ShotoniPhone worldwide campaign by Apple believes that everyone can take incredible photos with just an iPhone. Aspiring fashion and lifestyle photographers and bloggers are invited to participate for a chance to be discovered and featured in Power Mac Center’s social media accounts.
Simply take your iPhone and capture your best OOTDs or lifestyle shots. You may visit Power Mac Center’s Vogue-inspired photo booth in the exhibit at the L3 Atrium of SM Aura Premier until March 4. Upload your photos to your Instagram account, tag @powermaccenter and include the hashtags #LifeInStyle and #ShotoniPhone.
Magazine cover shot on iPhone X
As tech emerges in the fashion industry, even magazines recognize the power of the iPhone camera. In partnership with Power Mac Center and Moshi, MEGAstyle.ph shot the cover story of its maiden issue for 2018 using the iPhone X. On the cover is model and Power Mac Center brand ambassador Mari Jasmine with Mark Nicdao behind the lens.
“What I love about it is it’s quick and there’s already presets. There’s a lot of other things you can play with, depends on what you want to achieve in a photograph,” Nicdao said. “You can definitely have different angles. It captures even the colors of the neon lights. There’s a lot of range to it so it’s a fun way to shoot fashion photography.”
The photos, which may be viewed in the “Life In Style” exhibit or the MEGAstyle.ph Volume 2 issue currently in newsstands, simply prove that there’s a place for your photos beyond your phone’s gallery.
#ShotoniPhone Outdoors
If nature or the outdoors is more your element, then the upcoming #ShotoniPhone #SomewhereOutThere campaign is for you. Be prepared to capture moments that make you feel alive with a great camera that fits in your pocket.
“We live in exciting times. The tools we need are right at our fingertips and that has been especially true for the camera. From taking quick snapshots of our daily life, it has become a means of expression on its own,” said Power Mac Center Marketing Director Joey Alvarez.
The iPhone X has indeed taken mobile photography to the next level, allowing one to explore his creative side and record experiences in vivid colors. With dual 12-megapixel rear cameras and optical image stabilization, the camera on the latest iPhone can capture almost DSLR-quality photos and is a much better performer in low-light conditions. It is also rated IP67 under IEC standard 60529, which means it’s splash, water, and dust resistant, perfect for any kind of adventure.
iPhone X is available at Power Mac Center stores. For information on products and services and updates on future campaigns, follow @powermaccenter on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube.
