In an interview in Tonight with Boy Abunda, Makisig Morales reminisces about his happy days during Super Inggo. Makisig used to share the screen with Kathryn Bernardo, Jairus Aquino and Sam Concepcion among others.
He also currently stars in ABS-CBN’s epicserye Bagani. The said epicserye also stars Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Sofia Andres and Matteo Guidicelli.
In the said interview, Boy Abunda asked Makisig to describe his Super Inggo days. He also added that he only enjoyed his time in the show. He described those days that he didn’t even feel like it’s a job that he needs to fulfill.
“Para sa akin po, happy days. Kasi ‘di ko po na-feel na as work siya. Na-feel ko na nage-enjoy ako. Na-feel ko na I’m having fun with my co-actors.”
Makisig also remains proud of Kathryn’s achievements. He added that he is proud for Daniel Padilla, too. Kathryn and Daniel had just finished their recently concluded supernatural series, La Luna Sangre.
“Yes, of course. Sobrang proud. Yeah! Of course, with Daniel as well.”
In the said interview, Makisig also revealed his story when he lived in Australia. He admitted that his father had always planned on working in Australia. They left him behind for a while to finish filming for 2014 fantasy series Mirabella.
“Si Daddy po kasi naghanap siya ng work kasi… plan niya talaga na mag-Australia. Nag-work for a year po siya and then, naisama kaming lahat. Yes, sabay sabay. Pero ako po ‘yung naiwan for may ginagawa po akong show with Mirabella po. And then after noon, dumeretso na ako sa Australia.
Makisig announced that he will be having another sibling. The Morales family now has eleven children. This revelation caused Boy to widen his eyes and the audience to cheer.
“May surprise pa nga po, eh. Blessing kasi ‘yun, eh. Buntis na naman si Mama so pang-eleven na po ‘yun.”
Makisig also admitted that he used to work and at the same time study for Culinary Arts during his stay in Perth, Australia.
“Pumasok po muna kami ng school. Bago kami nakapag-dahan dahang nakapag-work… So, nag-school ako at the same time nag-work ako ng part-time.”
Boy acknowledged how Makisig seemed to be perfect. He can cook, act and sing. He also remains a good looking young man. However, Makisig revealed that he also has a weakness.
“Weakness is kasi siguro malayo po ako sa family ko po. Like, ‘pag nalalayo ako sa kanila, sinasabi ko nalang na like okay ako. Kasi I have to. You know, kasi lalaki… Kailangan ko silang ma-message anytime… Siguro po kaming lahat ‘yun ang weakness.”
During the Fast Talk segment of the show, Boy asked Makisig whether he used to have a crush on Kathryn. He replied that everyone has or had a crush on Kathryn.
“Sino bang hindi? Yes.”
Calm down, KathNiel fans. Makisig has a girlfriend named Vianne Lacay. They have also been together for five years. Makisig may have had a crush on the young actress before but when asked about the sexiest woman in the Philippines, he answered, lovingly:
“My Gigi, my girlfriend.”
