Even after her huge success, Maine Mendoza still remains a fangirl. She is also a huge fan of British rock band, Coldplay. The vocalist and Maine’s “husband,” Christ Martin, celebrates his 41st birthday on March 2, Friday.
In August 2016, Maine attended a Coldplay concert in Los Angeles and went emotional. In January 2017, Maine received a written message and a love button from Chris himself.
Maine greeted the vocalist for his birthday during Juan for All All for Juan segment of Eat Bulaga. She also wrote a tweet and attached a photo of her and her “husband.” The said tweet also read:
“Happy birthday sa asawa ko, binati kita sa Eat Bulaga sana napanood mo. Enjoy ka diyan. Miss you, love you. @coldplay”
Maine used the photo of real-life friends and collaborators, Chris and Beyoncé. The photo was taken in September 2006 when they both attended Jay Z’s after party in London.
On the 00:60 or 1 minute mark of the video below, Maine suddenly remembers Chris’ birthday. She faced the camera in a rush and said:
“Birthday ng asawa ko! Chris Martin, baka nanunuod ka ng livestream!”
Then, she waved and went back on walking.
