The 23-year-old actress revealed that she is still not under contract with any network.
In an interview with PEP.ph, MMFF 2017 Best Supporting actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith finally broke her silence over consistent rumors saying that she will be Alden Richard’s new leading lady. The 23-year-old actress clarified she has no idea about the alleged teleserye with the ‘Pambansang Bae.’
“I dunno kung saan nanggaling yun or sinong nagpasimula. Pumirma na raw ako, may show na raw ako, with Alden daw… There’s no truth to that. Wala akong knowledge with a show with Alden,” she clarified.
“So please, spare me from the hurt.”
Despite receiving negative comments from AlDub fans, Jasmine said she understands where are they coming from.
“You can’t also blame them or get mad at them. For them, that’s who they want to adore or give their time or love or spend their money on. Respect ko na lang din yun sa kanila. For me, yung online, it’s just learning how to not take it personally. Kasi, on my end, it’s just work.
“I have a personal relationship with someone else and they are also friends. So, ayoko lang ma-take out of context if ever I get to work with someone who has a love team na existing.”
In the latter part of her interview, Jasmine also clarified that she is still not under any network as of the moment.
“I haven’t signed any contract with any TV network. I haven’t also ‘officialized’ anything with anyone. Everything’s still usap-usap pa lang.”
The ‘Siargao’ actress said that she is open to working again with Alden after the movie ‘Imagine You and Me’ alongside Maine Mendoza.
“Well, if that’s what the executives want, ayaw ko naman tumanggi—if ever i-offer. Everything naman will be laid out according to how GMA or ABS-CBN will plan things for me, should I go with a network,” she ended.
