James Reid and Nadine Lustre levelled up their roles in the upcoming film Never Not Love You from the direction of Antoinette Jadaone. From their innocent roles in Diary ng Panget, their roles started to develop into their televisions series Till I Met You and On the Wings of Love.
When they mentioned that both of them live in the moment, the press asked James and Nadine on their views about teenage marriage. Nadine explained that marriage is a choice.
“Marriage is a choice. There are teenagers now that are recklessly in love and hindi po nila alam if they’re making the right choice. Parang feeling nila ‘yun ang forever nila and at the end of the day, it’s a wrong choice pala. Sometimes it works but I don’t really know how to answer that.”
When asked about their views on living in, James also continued that living with a significant other is fun.
“It’s fun! Honestly po as long as you’re both secured and everything’s working for both of you, it’s fine. It shouldn’t be an issue at all.”
Nadine elaborated that it shouldn’t be bad if it doesn’t affect anyone’s life.
“If it’s affecting you in a bad way, then you should stop! But if you’re good to it then why not and you’re not affecting anyone, why is it bad?”
They also shot Never Not Love You in London, England where Nadine got sick.
“I got sick when we were there. ‘Yung free time ko, pinahinga ko na lang.”
James warned that they have more mature language in the said upcoming film.
“Viewer discretion is advised dahil sa language.”
According to Nadine, while they shot their scenes, they go on and piece the story together.
“Kasi nga po it’s improvisation. Kaya habang sinu-shoot namin ang eksena, binubuo namin ang istorya. So kung ano ang kukunan titingnan kung ano ang kalalabasan ng syinut namin. Doon pa lang susulat si Direk Tonette ng istorya na susunod.”
James explained that Direk Antoinette also wanted Never Not Love You to remain organic. He continued that he relates with Gio. He also added that he wanted to live in the moment just like Gio.
“Just live in the moment. I am like that. Go with the flow.”
In the said film trailer, many felt as if they seemed to be Christopher de Leon and Vilma Santos in the film, Relasyon at Broken Marriage. Nadine said that the comparison remains an honor.
“Wow, thank you po. It’s an honor, of course.”
