- Jak Roberto shares bills with sister, Sanya Lopez.
- He also remains grateful for the late German Moreno.
- He is still waiting for the ‘perfect’ role.
Jak Roberto entered showbiz six years ago. His goal back then was to give his mom, Marlin Roberto, the comfortable life that she deserves. In an interview with PEP.ph, he admitted that he and sister, Sanya Lopez, pay the bills. Jak had only turned five years old when their father died due a to heart attack.
Marlin currently resides in Bulacan while Jak and Sanya reside in Manila as they worked in GMA Network. In the said interview, Jak shared, “Si Mommy relax-relax na lang.”
In a Janury 2107 episode of Tunay na Buhay, Jak recalled that he used to repaint tombstones for All Soul’s Day. He remembers that he used to charge 25 pesos for each tombstones. In 2011, he received a showbiz break through the now-concluded late night show which the late German Moreno hosted, Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman. Until now, Jak considers Kuya Germs as his mentor.
Roberto also shared what he learned from Kuya Germs and he will remain grateful for his late mentor. He also added that he was too shy to perform or host in the said late night show, however, Kuya Germs had opened up a door for him.
Jak only used to wait for the right television project. He, then, sustained that someone can get what he or she wants through patient. He also now currently stars in Contessa with Glaiza de Castro. Jak has also been dubbed as GMA’s “Pambansang Abs.”
“Patience talaga.
He plays the role of Santiago “Jong” Generoso, Jr., a criminology student and a self-proclaimed protector of Glaiza’s character whom he secretly loves. According to Jak himself, his role has a lot of action scenes with the villains in the series played by real-life cousins, Geoff and Gabby Eigenmann.
Jak revealed how he usually rewards himself after a hard work.
“Last year, nakabili ako ng pick-up.
