- Jessie and his ex-wife had already separated for more than ten years.
Ethel Booba introduced her boyfriend to the public in an episode of Gandang Gabi Vice. Ethel and Jessie met while she went on a vacation in Boracay. She was also shocked when she found out about his profession. Jessie works in a hotel in Boracay as a chef.
However, he filed his resignation when Ethel went home to Manila.
Vice Ganda asked Jessie about Ethel’s qualities that attracted him to her. Jesse answered sweetly:
“Sincere siya as a person. At first, siyempre, na-excite ako nang nakita ko siya in person. Kasi party-party, I was drinking with my friends. Then, suddenly, bigla siyang dumating. Na-starstruck, parang ganun. Ang ganda niya, eh.”
Vice continued to advise Jessie to take care of his dear friend. The comedian also added Ethel’s challenges in the past.
Jessie revealed that he and Ethel already talked about it. He also sustained that their past will make it even harder.
Ethel couldn’t help herself and became emotional while admitting the state of their relationship.
Ethel also hoped that Jessie will be the one. She wished that he will be the guy she has been praying for.
Moreover, Ethel added that some of her friends gave her a nickname when her relationship with Jessie blossomed.
“Ayaw kong tawagin na kabit.”
Ethel, then, continued that she didn’t want to have a boyfriend who had a wife. She also sustained that her friends would constantly call her “kabit.”
Jessie admitted that he had a wife, however, they had separated more than ten years ago. When Vice asked Jessie whether they actually had a legal separation, the latter answered:
“Nagcoconsult naman eh.”
Meanwhile, Ethel still continued to pray for her relationship with Jessie.
“Yun yung pinapanalangin ko na sana… Sabi ko, minsan lang ‘to, e, so tuwang-tuwa ako.”
Vice reminded Jessie of his warning. He also added that Ethel had already gotten her heart broken for many times.
“Don’t break her heart again. She’s been broken so many times already.”
