Comedienne Ethel Booba commented on the Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque remarks about the passing of the Anti-Fake News Bill. In one of his speech, Roque said that he will resign from his post once the Congress approved the said bill.
The internet sensation retweeted the post of Inquirer.com about the statement of Roque. Ethel said that Roque should support the approval of the bill for being a consistent purveyor of saying that Rappler spreads fake news.
“Diba naniniwala kang purveyor ng fake news ang Rappler. If galit ka sa Rappler dahil sa paniniwalang yun dapat galit ka din sa fake news,” she wrote.
On the other hand, it was announced later part of 2017 that Roque will run for Senatorial Elections in 2019. Aside from him, PDP-Laban said that PCCO Asec. Mocha Uson is also one of their bets for the senators.
Is Roque’s statement on resigning his post a preparation for 2019 elections? Or is it just his sign disapproval to Anti-Fake News Bill? Share your thoughts!
