In an interview with PUSH.com, Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil admitted that he is more comfortable doing rom-com series and movies.
The 25-year actor said that it was challenging for him to enter a new genre in acting.
“Siyempre mas kumportable ako dun sa rom-com kasi that’s where I really started and I gave up a lot of years in life doing that. And ito kasi it’s different kasi dun modern times dito sinaunang panahon so pati yung pananalita namin, yung mga linya namin mahirap.
Wala pang teka dati. So may mga ganung casual Tagalog na hindi namin puwedeng sabihin so lahat yun taken into consideration. So iba yung timpla. But it’s fun, it’s intriguing,” he shared.
As one of the most expensive TV series in Philippine TV, Enrique did not expect the said project to reach epic proportions.
“They said it’s the most expensive Philippine teleserye in history to date.
For his role Lakas, Enrique revealed that he had some minor injuries while preparing for his intense fight scenes for the series.
“I did fight and stunt training with Stunt 360. We started doing it before the show pero ngayon we do it before we take the scene na. So tinuturuan na lang kami ng mga steps na gagawin sa harness, iikot-ikot, mgastunt, mga sabog, mga CGI with giants and dragons. It’s different. Marami ring nangyari,” he said.
Pero it’s fun, it’s part of it. Pag nasa set mahirap kasi talaga action so maraming nasasaktan. Ako maraming injury din ako dun pero it’s fine,” he added.
