- Box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina shared her working experience with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
- The 46-year old director admitted that she was impressed with Pia’s performance.
After announcing her retirement in the second half of next year, director Cathy Garcia-Molina shared that her latest project “My Perfect You” starring Gerald Anderson and Pia Wurtzbach will be the first of her last five films with Star Cinema.
The 46-year old box-office director recalled being frank during her first meeting with former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach at their story conference.
According to Direk Cathy, she separated the Miss Universe image of Pia to her role as the bubbly resort owner Abby.
Sabi ko I will never see Miss Universe on my set and in fairness to Pia siyempre Miss Universe yan, pero ni entourage ni Pia wala kang mararamdamang ganun. In fact ako yung nagagalit, ‘Alagaan niyo kaya itong Ms. Universe!’ kasi sugat, sugat na siya, sa mga eksena hindi nagrereklamo,” she revealed.
After the shooting the movie, Direk Cathy admitted that she was impressed with Pia’s acting performance and work ethics.
“I will not call it kakaiba because wala akong pinanggagalingangcomparison.
Meron siyang parang aria, aria dun. And true enough, with flying colors. Tapos to top all that mabuti siyang tao,” she ended.
“My Perfect You” centers on Burn (Anderson), a broken-hearted man looking to start over, and Abi (Wurtzbach), a hostel owner whom he meets while on vacation.
The said film will be out in cinemas nationwide on March 14.
