Blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina reacted to a JaDine fan asking her to work with James Reid and Nadine Lustre before she retires in 2019.
However, Direk Cathy cited what she heard from JaDine’s past directors Dan Villegas and Antoinette Jadaone. She further added that she won’t judge a person based on an opinion she read on social media.
One netizen, @Pumpkin021116, asked her to feature JaDine for a new film.
“Sana po direk @cgm1326 sa huling movie mo sana Jadine ang kunin nyo, magaling po @ napakaprofessional. Natapos mo na ang KN, LQ, sana JC n nman.”
Direk Cathy replied to the said netizens and referred her response to JaDine’s past directors.
“Iha talaga ba? Iba kasi Ang naririnig ko galing mismo k direk Dan V at direk Tonet. Sorry 
“
Direk Cathy also referred to Direk Antoinette’s written blog. Earlier this year, Direk Antoinette took to her own blog to share her frustration on delays regarding Never Not Love You. The said film will be available on March 31, Black Saturday which stars James and Nadine.
“I think direk tonet has been very vocal about it in social media.”
Direk Cathy acknowledged that she knows she shouldn’t judge a person based on an opinion of someone else. However, she added that she remains close friends with Direk Dan and Direk Antoinette. This also supported that she has not heard the hearsay from her dear friends.
“Pero tama ka naman na hindi dapat maniwala sa sabi sabi. Nagkataon lang na malapit kong kaibigan sila tonet at lalo na si Dan. Kaya hindi tsismis ang nakarating sa akin.”
Direk Cathy shared that he had already worked with James in Pintada.
“At nakatrabaho ko na din si James nung nasa abs pa lang siya at baguhan pa. Sa Pintada. Hindi ko alam kung napanood mo po yun”
After a few whiles, Direk Cathy decided she doesn’t want to talk about the matter anymore and encouraged people to ask Direk Dan and Direk Antoinette on the issue.
“Naku ayaw ko na nga magsalita. Siguro si direk tonet na lang po at direk Dan Ang inyong tanungin. Para hindi tsismosa ang dating ko.”
One netizen, @tellemflear, tagged the two directors on the said Twitter thread.

Direk Cathy apologized to Direk Dan and Direk Antoinette and that she doesn’t have any bad intentions. She continued that she forgot that many people could read what she wrote on Twitter.
