In the recently concluded press conference for the movie “My Perfect You,” box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina revealed that she is set to retire form work in August 2019.
The 46-year old director will be directing her last five movies including the Pia Wurtzbach and Gerald Anderson rom-com film.
ABS-CBN showbiz reporter MJ Felipe also shared the announcement on his Twitter account. According to him, Direk Cathy’s next movie will be the upcoming film of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
“Cathy Garcia Molina confirms retirement from film making on August 2019 (end of her contract). She is set to do her last 5 films including ‘My Perfect You’ and upcoming KathNiel movie,” he wrote.
Prior to this, Direk Cathy already announce her retirement before. However, she expressed her interest to work once again with KathNiel love team before leaving the movie industry.
The blockbuster director directed Kathryn and Daniel in the 2014 movie “She’s Dating The Gangster” and the first week of the defunct fantaseries “La Luna Sangre.”
