Do you want less bezels on your phone but want to get it at a lower price, then the Bluboo S1 is for you.
Let’s start off with the specs:
Android 7.0 Nougat
5.5″ FHD IPS 2.5D Curved Gorilla Glass 4 (401ppi)
2.5GHz Mediatek MTK6757 Octa-core Helio P25 octa-core CPU
Mali-T880 GPU
4GB RAM LPDDR4X
64GB storage (expandable up to 256GB sd-card)
16MP + 3MP Dual Rear Camera w/ Dual LED Flash
8MP Front Camera
Dual Hybrid Nano Sim
4G LTE Cat 6
WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
Fingerprint scanner, Gyroscope
USB Type-C
3,500 mAh Li-Polymer battery, Fast Charging
The S1 has a 90% screen to body ratio which means 90% of the front of the phone is just screen. Also since they removed the bezels from 3 corners of the phone instead of the usual front camera placement on the top of the screen, they put the camera below, with the fingerprint sensor. You may be wondering that the phone will have a weird angle of you when taking selfies but they “fixed” that by having you turn the phone upside down. It also has Cat 6 LTE which can use the 4G+ signals here in the Philippines for faster internet speeds.
The phone has a super smooth glossy finish and comes in both black and white, and with a glossy finish comes a slippery phone as well, but Bluboo may have thought of this and included a silicon case and screen protector inside the box other stuff inside the box is the charger, SIM-tool, and a USB-C to 3.5MM adapter since this phone doesn’t have a headphone jack.
In everyday use the Bluboo S1 works great and feels snappy, it’s also customizeable and has several built in themes to change the look of the device, all it needs to have is a camera upgrade and it might be the perfect bezeless midrange phone.
