- Entertainment writer Alwin Ignacio expressed disapproval on “Eat Bulaga!” segment “Suffer Sireyna.”
- The Abante Tonite columnist believes that the said spoof of popular “Super Sireyna” insults gay candidates.
Entertainment writer Alwin Ignacio fearlessly wrote an article on his column in Abante Tonite about his disapproval on “Eat Bulaga!” segment of “Suffer SiReyna.”
On his column published last March 9, the columnist said that the segment show no respect to the gay contestants.
“Suffer SiReyna” is the spoof version of the more popular beauty pageant for transgenders “Super SiReyna.”
In the said segment, gay contestants are wearing long gowns while doing the ‘obstacle curse.’
According to him, the longest running noon time show is promoting that gays are subjects of laughter and insults.
On his latter part of his article, he mentioned the host Allan K and Paolo Ballesteros for letting this kind of segment to disrespect gays.
