Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw recently aired its pilot episode on March 12, Monday. It airs before noontime show, ‘Eat Bulaga!’. Camille Prats and Neil Ryan Sese also top-bill the said daytime drama series.
This will also be Neil’s first time as a Kapuso leading man.
Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw‘s pilot episode registered an AGB Nielsen rating of 4.3%. Meanwhile, its counterpart show in ABS-CBN, Sana Dalawa Ang Puso, registered a rating of 5.8%. Sana Dalawa Ang Puso stars Jodi Sta. Maria with a dual role, Richard Yap and Robin Padilla.
Also on Kantar Media, Sana Dalawa Ang Puso was able to beat Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw with 8.3 point difference. The hit Kapamilya morning show got a rating of 17.1% while the newest Kapuso offering only got 8.8%.
The first episode of Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw had viewers’ emotions go haywire. It had love, pain and also, hope. Camille portrays the role of Ginny. Neil on other hand portrays the role of Lance. Ginny was a happily married woman with her husband, Mario (Arthur Solinap) and Lance was a devoted partner to his girlfriend which Aubrey Miles portrays.
Ginny and Mario set a dinner for his birthday while Lance waits for his girlfriend in the same restaurant. While waiting, Ginny encountered a fortune teller who told her that her “forever” will soon arrive. The same fortune teller suddenly appeared at Lance’s side to give him a jewelry which belongs to his “forever.”
Due to unfortunate events, Mario dies in an accident. Meanwhile, Lance’s girlfriend breaks up with him via phone call. The pilot episode ends with Lance and Ginny encounters each other when Lance’s car breaks down beside a stalled hearse which carries Mario’s coffin. Lance’s friend, Maoy (Archie Alemania) convinced him to throw coins at the said hearse for good luck. Filled with skepticism and doubt, Lance throws the coins at it.However, the said coins hit Ginny square in the face.
