Last March 5, Kapamilya fantaseries “Bagani” starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil debuted in Philippine TV. In its pilot episode, the said series has drawn more viewers than the rival show, “Kambal, Karibal.”
The first “Bagani” episode introduced Lakas (Enrique), the son of an exiled clan leader, as well as its fictional setting of Sansinukob, a nation home to five warring groups.
As per AGB Neilsen registered a rating of 12.9%. ABS-CBN’s new prime-time series aired from 8:26 p.m. to 9:25 p.m. Meanwhile, its rival program starring Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, got an AGB rating of 8.5% aired from 8:31 p.m. to 9:18 p.m. The Kapamilya Network’s new fantaserye got an AGB rating that is 4.4 points higher than its Kapuso counterpart.
According to Kantar Media, “Bagani” began with a 35.5% nationwide TV rating opposite the 15.2% of “Kambal, Karibal.” It 20.1% higher than the supernatural-themed drama of GMA Network.
The show also features Matteo Guidicelli, Makisig Morales and Sofia Andres as the lead cast.
