- ABS-CBN soundstages will finish this 2018.
- The network will also rent a warehouse and build another one to do “soundstage-like” production.
In a report written on Business Mirror, ABS-CBN Corp. said it expects to reduce production costs by 10%-15% when it starts using its soundstages in Bulacan by the end of next year.
ABS-CBN CFO Aldrin M. Cerrado shared the the good news in his interview.
“We’re testing the processes for soundstage, but definitely before the end of second half next year, our two soundstages will be operational,” ABS-CBN CFO Aldrin M. Cerrado said.
As one of the country’s leading networks, ABS-CBN continue to improve their service as they are building two soundstages in San Jose del Monte, which will be used for the production of its films and television shows.
Soundstages are sound-proof buildings that are designed for shooting TV shows and films.
“When we tested it, we said 10-15%, but we haven’t tested on a soundstage, so these are all table computations. Definitely there will be savings,” Mr. Cerrado added.
According to Mr. Cerrado, ABS-CBN will start testing the soundstages by the first quarter of 2018. The company will also rent a warehouse and build another one to do “soundstage-like” production.
“We’ve rented two warehouses and we built one warehouse in our existing facility so we can actually do soundstage-like production,” he ended.
