In an interview with PEP.ph, Roxanne Barcelo shared the details on a younger actress bullying her. She also added that she thought that she will have a new friend which, unfortunately, took another turn.
In the said story, she continued to tell that it had been the first day of shooting with the said artist. Although she has never named the said artist, it became her motivation for becoming a better actress.
Roxanne shared the said story and artist turned out to be younger than her.
“I was doing a soap during that time in a different station, and parang first day of taping ko na makakasama ko ang co-artist na ‘to. She’s much younger. She said to me, ‘Come, sit here.’ Tanghaling tapat. Tumabi naman ako. Sabi ko, ‘Friendship, I’m so ready for this friendship,’ ganyan. And then, she said, ‘Uy, kamusta ka na?’ Sabi ko, ‘Okay naman ako, mars. How about you?’”
Roxanne proceeded that the said artist confirmed that the Wildflower actress has negative stories written about her.
“And then she said, ‘Okay naman, pero ikaw, mars, di ba, ang dami mong negative write-ups.’ Sabi ko, ‘Talaga? E, hindi pa tayo nagpe-presscon? So, saan? Saan yung write-up?’ Ta’s sabi niya, ‘Ano, hindi ka daw kasi magaling umarte.’ So, sabi ko, ‘Aahhhh.’ So, um-exit ako, tinawagan ko yung handler ko, ‘Mamshie, paki-confirm nga kung may write-up achu-chu-chu….’ So, pinagtanong nila, wala naman daw po.”
Roxanne began working hard to become a better actress. She also gave it her all in the project with the said co-artist.
“So, parang, whether it’s true or not, my realization was, if I’m going to give a hundred percent, I have to triple that in this season of mine, in this material, and I really gave my best.”
