Kapuso network is set to offer another groundbreaking drama “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” that tackles about HIV.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario, who is one of the lead cast of the said series, is confidently said that he is well-informed about the said disease.
“Hindi ako nag-second thoughts, nung nalaman ko yung buong story, tinanggap ko na agad. And iyon, lalo na about HIV, may kilala kasi ako na may HIV. Meron, isa lang yung kilala ko. Pero okey naman siya ‘tapos… okey naman, parang masaya, normal. Friend of a friend,” he revealed.
“Pag nakikita mo siya, normal,” he added.
Martin said that he has no issue with getting along with someone that has HIV. According to him, he is well-informed about the said disease.
“Na kawawa naman, pero kasi hindi ko alam yung ginagawa niya. Pero ang balita ko, nag-aano siya, yung retroviral [medicine], para makontrol, ‘tsaka matagal ko na siyang kakilala pero until now healthy, wala naman akong nababalitaang isinugod siya sa hospital.
“Sabi naman ‘pag sinusunod mo yung gamot mo lagi, puwede kang makipag-sex tapos hindi ka na makakahawa pero siyempre may maintenance yun na bawal na bitawan,” he answered.
Meanwhile, “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” also features Yasmien Kurdi, Mike Tan, Jackie Rice, Charee Pineda, Ina Feleo with veteran actress Gina Alajar.
