Maja Salvador will star in a Star Cinema film, To Love Some Buddy, with Zanjoe Marudo. They both expressed their happiness on sharing the big screen for the first time. In an interview during the story conference of the said film, Maja revealed how they can finally work together.
“Finally nagkatagpo na kami ni Z, may ginawa kami dati di ba, Your Song, pero ang nene ko pa non. Actually ang tagal nang pinitch sa atin ‘to di ba, last year pa, kaso nga ‘yun nga busy magpaka-Wildflower. Nong una medyo nanganib pa kung kami ba talaga dalawa ang magkakasama sa pelikula buti swak pa rin ‘yung schedules namin so ito na finally.”
Maja and Zanjoe will portray best friends who fall in love with each other. He also quipped something about their project together.
“Siyempre finally talaga excited na akong makatrabaho si Maja. Matagal na dahil buti nga nangyari eh kasi baka mamaya kuarenta na ako.”
Star Cinema shared Maja’s initial reaction when she found out she will work with Zanjoe.
“Finally, nagkatagpo na kami ni Z!” was Maja’s initial reaction when she found out that she will be working with Zanjoe in her upcoming film #ToLoveSomeBuddy ❤💫”
Maja has been looking forward to working with Zanjoe. She also revealed how she always watch him on Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes.
“Ako excited pa ako sa kung ano ‘yung chemistry ang malalabas namin ni Z kasi fan rin ako ni Z eh. Nakakanood ako ng mga MMK niya siyempre don drama. Ito light lang pero may sakit, may kurot. Pero siyempre di todo ang drama. ‘Yun sa wakas makakatrabaho na kita Z, kay tagal bago nangyari.”
Zanjoe also remarked how he looks forward on shooting scenes with Maja.
“Ayun, excited ako don sa kung ano ‘yung magiging kalalabasan ng tandem namin as mag-best friends, as lovers, as dalawang taong nasasaktan.”
