Julie Anne San Jose is open to collaborate with former love team and onscreen partner, Elmo Magalona. In an interview with CNN Philippines’ The Source, she revealed she could work with Elmo.
They also used to perform regularly in Party Pilipinas. They also starred in 2012 romance film, Just One Summer.
In the said interview, Julie admitted that she remains open to work with Elmo.
“Yeah, why not? I think it’s been a while since the last time na nagkita kami ni Elmo and nagkaroon kami ng numbers together.”
Julie also acknowledged that Elmo remains busy with projects after projects. So does she.
“I think he’s focused din sa ginagawa niya and ako, and ako focused din ako sa ginagawa ko.”
Still under the GMA Artists Agency, Julie also currently regularly appears on the longtime sitcom, Pepito Manaloto. She also currently appears regularly in the variety show, Sunday Pinasaya. While Elmo has already signed on with the competing network, he also recently worked on a film with Janella Salvador, My Fairy Tail Love Story. However, the fact that both Julie and Elmo signed under Universal Records makes the collaboration more possible.
Julie recently released the first single from her fourth album, Nothing Left. Although, a collaboration with Elmo may not the only thing she is open to. Julie also responded to a netizen’s question on Twitter regarding a possible collaboration with James Reid, Nadine Lustre and Bret Jackson. James also owns his label, Careless Music Manila.
“If destiny allows, would she give it a go to collab with Careless Music Manila, music label owned by James Reid? Is she open to do a song with @tellemjaye, @ nadine and @KINGwAwCMM? #MyJapsOnCNNPH”
In her response, Julie revealed that she had not talked about it with them yet.
“We haven’t really talked about it, but yeah — if ever, I’m open to it.”
