Aside from being an actor, Star Music launched JC Santos as a new recording artist. Many were amazed when JC performed during the press launch. According to JC himself, he actually really loves singing. However, he lost his focus on singing when he received continuous acting opportunities.
He recently starred in a film with Ryza Cenon in Mr. and Mrs. Cruz. JC also starred in 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Meant To Beh with Vic Sotto and Dawn Zulueta. Before that, he starred in 100 Tula Para Kay Stella with Bela Padilla. JC also stars in the longtime running action-drama series, Ang Probinsyano.
JC shared that singing requires muscles and it should always be practiced.
“Kailangan po kasi kapag kumakanta ka, araw-raw kang kumakanta. Muscle ‘yan. Ngayon ko pa lang po ipinapaalam na kumakanta ko. And marami pong salamat sa Star Music na sinuportahan po nila ko sa ganitong pagkakataon na gusto ko pong gawin.”
Nonetheless, with the opportunities coming his way, rumors started circulating that JC had started to become a big-headed actor. JC eventually responded about the said issue in the said press launch.
“Ang nagbago lang po siguro, naging confident lang ako sa mga trabaho na nilalabasan ko lately.”
