In her acceptance speech, Iza mentioned that she has been waiting for an award for film for sixteen years.
Iza also remarked that she won in other countries for the same movie. Bliss made its premiere in March at the 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival. She received the prestigious Yakushi Pearl Award for her performance.
However, she feels more accomplished winning in her own country.
I hope I can continue to use this talent and platform to bring light to the world.”
She later added that she has always watched her father be a part of Star Awards. Iza also shared that the award means a lot to her.
“I would like to share this award to all the other nominees for movie actress of the year. Star Awards means a lot to me. I grew up watching this because my father would always be part of Star Awards. It means so much to me that I finally won and a major award at that.”
